A Holiday message from Jim Pilster

Well, Another year has come and gone and it just gets to be more fun. At this time last year I was booking Cryan' shames shows but I really didn't have a complete band. Due to the eternal 'changing of the guard' syndrome that takes place in bands like ours, we were a few guy's short of the complete group that could do justice to the music of the Shames. Who would have ever guessed that I would be so fortunate to find the musicians that, not only filled the musical void, but were also great people to be around. Thanks to the hard work of Jeff Rutter, Rocky Penn and Jim Nudd and a few well timed phone calls. The Cryan' Shames were reborn once again. Greg Brucker coming in to fill the shoes of the late Isaac Guillory, and Dave Purple on Bass, Dave Rice and Bob Blom sharing duties on Keys, Dave Zane driving in from South Bend every time we asked and, last but not least, our good fortune to acquire Bob Stroud as our lead singer. We never missed a beat. Oh sure, there was some rough nights, but, these guys never settled for less than what the legacy, and the fans of the Shames demanded. Playing the tunes as they were meant to be, all the while having fun and loving it. I also have to mention Michael Ayres & Tommy Otto always there when I needed them. The Larry's; Samples, and Coveny (the silver one) filling in whenever asked (hope to see both of them on stage next year). Don't forget the behind the scene people, Gloria, Marlene, Sue, Mickey, the website people, Barb & Pat Malott, and of course the Shamettes & Shameless Girls. I know I have forgotten to mention a bunch of people. Forgive me but I am so overwhelmed at being surrounded by all these great people. Anyway, now I'm starting to babble.
What I really want to say with this note is to all of you is, THANK YOU! Please have a wonderful Holiday Season, and a FABULOUS NEW YEAR!
I have already started booking the festivals and it really looks great. We will be seeing you soon.

Love to you all,
Jimmy P (Hooke)
